8 Wreckers Win USL U-16 Championship
As 15 seniors prepare to graduate — after leading Staples to the 2025 state title — the future looks bright indeed.
Eight sophomores and freshmen were on the 17-member InterConnecticut FC team that won the USL Y U-16 championship in Tampa last weekend. Several had been called up to the Wrecker varsity, for the post-season run.
Beckham Martino had 3 goals and 4 assists, to lead the age group. Pedro Tulio scored the winning goal in the final. Ciaran Kennedy and Seb Carter both scored twice, to help the team get to the championship match.
