Top Of The Hill Team Kicks Off 2013 Campaign

The Top of the Hill Team writes:

Loeffler Field looks sharp. The benches on The Hill have been sanded and stained, and are ready to welcome legions of Staples soccer fans young and old. The team has designed this year’s spirit wear, and the boys, led by captains Diego Alanis and Jack Scott, are gearing up for what promises to be another exciting season of Staples soccer.

With the anticipation of the coming season comes the responsibility of continuing the Top of The Hill mission of ensuring that Staples soccer remains one of the preeminent high school programs in the state.

TOTH — the Staples boys soccer booster club — supplements the ever-challenged boys soccer budget in an effort to carry on the tradition of excellence at Staples. Donations from alumni, parents and friends of Staples soccer allow the program to thrive by. A few examples: supporting the hiring of additional coaches and trainers; ensuring the safety of players and fans through the purchase of a defibrillator; buying video equipment and live-streaming software, plus a machine for the Staples fitness center to augment off-season training; paying for winter gym time and summer league officials; funding scholarships, and helping current and former players in times of need.

Please help us continue the strong tradition of Staples boys soccer, by making a donation to TOTH. You can do so here: http://staplessoccer.com/team/the-top-of-the-hill-team/. We would also appreciate hearing your ideas and suggestions to help us improve the program. Please share your thoughts with us via email: TOTHBoard@gmail.com.

Thank you. We look forward to seeing you on The Hill!

The Top of the Hill Team donated a rowing machine to the Staples Fitness Center. Varsity, JV and freshman players worked out at 6 a.m. twice a week, from January through June, to prepare for the 2013 season.
