Ross McGibney ’07 Nails 2nd Straight Game-Winner
Former Staples captain and JV coach Ross McGibney ’07 headed in a 69th-minute goal yesterday, leading Southern Connecticut State University to a 1-0 shutout over Southern New Hampshire.
The game was the Northeast-10 Conference opener for both teams.
It came on the heels of McGibney’s shot, just 2:48 into the 2nd half, in the previous game — the decisive strike in the Owls’ 2-1 victory over Caldwell.
Southern Connecticut is still perfect, with a 3-0-0 mark.
