Mikey Scott Helps Lead Ski Team To State Championship
The Wreckers captured the class “S” state championship — and finished 3rd in the state open race — thanks in large part to junior Mikey Scott.
The fiesty soccer midfielder with the long throw placed 22nd overall — in a 130-man field — with a time of 53.74. Mikey was Staples’ 2nd-fastest skier. He trailed only Paul LaHiff, whose 51.91 earned him 12th place, and All-State and Team Connecticut status.
Congratulations to Mikey on his 2nd state title of the year — and to all the Wreckers, plus coach Jon Shepro.
