Left: George Scott '59 -- halfback on the 1st-ever club team, and goalkeeper on the 1st varsity squad -- was a hit at the 50th weekend, with his outgoing personality and great spirit. Center: Zack Randel '93, David Nayor '93, Alex Deegan '91, longtime head coach Jeff Lea, Andrew Clement '94 and Tim Caffrey '94 share stories. The '92 team that Nayor co-captained reached the state finals, while Caffrey co-captained the '93 state championship squad. Larry hosted the returning 2008 varsity players at Lake Placid this summer, while Ray provided an instant photographic collage of the alumni on the hill for the wine-tasting later that evening. Right: Jeanne and Brendan Lesch with classmate Tom Johnson '84. Tom knew that Jeanne (LoCurto) was a great soccer star in her day at Staples; he was surprised to learn that Brendan, best known as a baseball player, is the father of current sophomore Brendan Michael Lesch.
